Reds versus Mets Sunday April 7, 2024

Bell finally got smart and benched Benson against a lefty.  He's down to .143 now.   But man this offense has some holes right now.  CES and Candy can't hit and they are 3 and 4.  Thompson playing, Espinal playing.  We really need Marte and McLain.

And we really need a super strong game from Abbott.

Recap: Reds lose 3-1.  The hitters I mentioned went 2-12.   (.166)  Great relief by Suter and Farmer.  Looks like we lost Antone for the year.   Catching continues to be a black hole.

Abbott gave up 3 (2 earned) on 5 innings.  He looks like he's settling in as a decent 4-5 guy.  And that's great till someone better comes along.
