Of the two, Ford is the one that might come into play.  I think he has opt outs along the way.

Mike Ford to the Reds on a minor league deal. $1.3M salary in majors, and another 125K in incentives. Spring training and other opts outs included.

Ford was released and resigned with Reds.  I suspect it's a straight minor league deal with an opt out.

Some discouraging news on the injury front.  Reds 2023 3rd rounder Hunter Hollan placed on 60 Day DL.  As was 9th rounder  Logan Van Treek
