Minor League Opening Day !! Apr 5, 2024

Louisville couldn't be bothered posting a lineup.

Tyler Gilbert started and got pounded, 6 runs in 2.2 innings.  Bats lose 6-5. Pen did well.

Ford, Trautwein and Dunn had 2 hits.  Nice to see Dunn finally have a good game. Also had 2 steals.  Hinds was 1/4

AA - Lineup not posted but we find out Benschoter is starting. 



Chattanooga will not be a strong team starting out offensively.  Any strength they have are in pitching with guys like Petty and Aguiar.  They lose 12-0.

Not included in that group is Benschoter, who I clamored all off-season to be turned into a reliever, and he throws 3.1 innings and gives up 6 but only 2 earned.  Beniot who was pretty good in Dayton got hammered.

Andrew Moore pitched 1 innings and K'd 3.

Only Hendricks had 2 hits.  (Fluke notice until proven otherwise).  Nelson was 1/2 with 2 walks.  That works.

Dayton -  Now here's a lineup !!!



Recap: Dayton loses 1-0. Obviously pitching led by Lowder was good. He threw 4 shutout innings.  Gibaut was on rehab assignment and thew one scoreless.

The vaunted Dayton offense did not show up.  Only Balcazar had 2 hits.

Recap: Daytona loses 5-4 in 10.  Connor Burns hit a 3 run homer for his only hit. Only Esmith Pineda had 2 hits.
