I've marked all the college seniors a Expected to Sign.

We've lost out first draftee. 18th Rounder Mason Neville going to Arkansas.

20th Rounder Menefee confirms he will sign.

I've marked 9th Rounder Hensey as signed.  Hometown newspaper says he reports Saturday (23rd) to Draft Camp which runs thru Aug 4th.  And that hw will be in Instructional League in the Fall.

13th Rounder Harmon has signed.

Eric Brutti  had some REALLY nice stats 

En route to Rhode Island Gatorade Player of the Year honors, he delivered a dominant season. He went 8-1 on the mound with a 0.46 ERA, striking out a whopping 105 batters in 46 innings pitched and walking only 11.

I don't mind HS pitchers after Round 3. He's #11, so we could sign him for $125K without penalty. Hope we land hoim but he's working out at USF where his College commit is

There were some surprises in those numbers.  Let's start with the big story.  Reds haven't saved much money. $314K. If rumors of an over pay for Collier are true, we need to come up with some savings.

I expect big savings with #9 Hensey, but that slot is only $160K.  I tbought Boyd was a bargain sign but apparently they really liked him.

Reds announce some more.  But not the amounts. Everyone signed in the Top 10 except #1.  We'll see what savings we end up with, but this is the first point I wonder if we have some drama involved with signing Collier.  There was talk of way over-slot money, and the way things are developing, that money may not be there.

In a game of chicken, I think the Reds would win. You don't declare a year early and then sit out.

Should be a couple hundred grand over a million when they release the the numbers for their 9th and 10th round picks.

They can also go over by a pretty big penny-- up to five percent before being docked a draft pick.

That should get them to $5M.
