Sunday August 15th versus Phillies

Winker is back.  On the whole... this is about as good as a lineup as we can put out there.  Some might quibble with whether to play TySteve over Tucker.  Tyler does have slightly better numbers versus righties than Tucker.

We need Cast to get back to being himself.

India leads off the game with a homer.  1-0.  Winker flies out on 1st pitch. Castellanos is called out and then tossed on a ball off the plate. 

Bell gets tossed too. Sadak gets upset (yet he talks about how he likes the Human Factor and not robo umps)  John.... this is the human factor you like.

Votto goes down swinging.

Gray retires the Phils in order in the first

Moose continues to struggle striking out swinging.   Then Naquin caught looking on ball not particularly close to plate.  Farmer flies out.

Might need a shutout today.  Didi slams ball but shift gets him.  Naquin tracks down a ball that Castellanos probably would not have caught. 

Miller flies to Shogo on a pretty sliding catch.

Tucker grounds out, but Gray grounds a sharp single up the middle for a single.   India singles.  I thought the LF didn't make a great play on it.

Winker just missed one flying out to RF.

After getting jobbed on two balls off the plate, Shogo takes one the opposite way and drives in 2.  He goes to third.  Not sure why Phils would throw Shogo a 78 MPH pitch. He has trouble with heat.

We'll take it 3-0 Reds. Votto pops out.

Winker leaves game.  Assume it's the back. So he did nothing this game so for all intents and purposes he has now missed 3 games, but if put on DL he would need 10 more since he played today.

Had he not played today, he could have gone retro and been back in 7.  Aquino replaces him. We might see Senzel sooner than later.

After single, a sac bunt goes to Votto who DOES go to second to get runner.  The play that Suarez messed up yesterday.  Soft grounder ends innings.

Moose walks and Naquin takes advantage of first baseman holding Moose to sneak a soft grounder for a single.  Moose goes to third.  Farmer gets HBP. Bases loaded.

Tucker pops out. Now Gray up.  Might be squandering a bases loaded no outs situation.

Realmuto triples to lead off the 4th. This time not the greatest plays(s) by Shogo. Took a bad route to ball which ensured it could get to wall.  Then his weak arm contributed to Realmuto making third.

Harper sacrifices him in. 3-1 Reds. Gregorius walks, but McCutheon k's. Miller walks.  Mound visit.  Votto makes nice play on grounder to end inning.

India lines a single to open the 5th.  India jammed his shoulder diving back into first but stays in game for now.

Aquino walks.  Shogo up.  They are still throwing off speed to Shogo. Crazy.  Flies out on fastball.  Votto walks on 4 pitches.

Please Moose be patient.   Looked at strike 3 right down the middle.

Naquin walks to force in a run. Farmer flies out.  Sounds like Suarez coming in for India.

India still out there. Herrera grounds a single up the middle. Bohm grounds out but then a bloop hit by Segura.

Realmuto up.  Seems like big moment in game.  Realmuto HBP to load bases.

Sims in bullpen.  Lorenzen my choice.   Gray walks in a run 4-2,  Sac fly and it's 4-3 and Gray is done and Sims in.

Sims takes advantage of umps wide zone to strike out last hitter.  4-3

Tucker grounds out. Sims forced to bat because of position player shortage. He K's.

India up.  Holding breath slightly. Almost hits it out.   4-3 Reds

Sims gets flyout to Naquin for first out. And grounder for second out. Sims K's next guy.
