Monday 7-19-21 Reds versus Mets

Quite frankly, this lineup is disconcerting.  You keep putting the same lineup out there and expecting things to change.

No Cast (that part is out of their control) but they are willing to play a man short for X number of days in order to get back Cast in less than 10 days.

Winker is slumping
Votto is slumping
Suarez is NOT getting better
Naquin has returned to career norms
Shogo is not a MLB capable hitter
And Farmer is not Berrera

Need a great game from Gutierrez. He may need one too to stay in rotation.

Not a good start. Single and then an Alonso homer.

And then a McNeil homer. This could not be worse

3-0 after half inning. Need to be surprised by offense.

Reds score 4 to take lead but Suarez, Shogo and Farmer prevent really big inning.
