AAA - Bats lost 2-1 in 10 innings. Friedl had 2 hits to raise his average up tp .274 with .816 OPS. Barrera went 1 for 4, but that's enough to raise his average to a AAA high .179. Payton had one hit to remain at .292 and .811 OPS.
The Reds staff gave up 0 earned runs. One Manfred Man runner scored in the 10th and another scored off of starter Mariot. He's done a good job. I could see a team desperate for competent arms inquiring about him. 2.53 ERA
Moreta who dominated at AA continues unscored upon in AAA despite allowing a ton of runners. His AAA WHIP is 3.00 !!

AA - Chattanooga lost 11-3 in a game Ashcraft Started. Ashcraft went 1 inning gave up 8 runs, 7 earned on 5 hits and 3 walks. It was ugly. But not as ugly as you might think.
He struck out the side in order in the first to extend his scoreless streak to 44 innings. But then he started having control issues and walked the first 2 hitters. He then gave up hot grounder up the middle to load the bases. Next guy hits an easy grounder, but because infield was drawn in, it goes for hit. Had manager been willing to concede a run it probably would have been a double play. Next guy singles to opposite field on a ball he swung late on.
Next guy doubles. But it reality it was just a ball that bounced over the 3b head because (stop me if you've heard this before) the infield was playing in. If infield was back it was probably an out, at worst an infield single. Next guy gets single on an excuse me swing that goes about 15 feet where no one could get it.
They pulled Ashcraft at that point with bases loaded. Dioner Lopez came in (in a bad situation) and allowed all 3 runners to score.
So yes, it was bad. But there was a lot of bad luck too.
Drew Mount in just his second game back after missing 2 months, collected 3 hits including a homer. Brian Rey got 2 hits and is quietly returning to respectability after a very slow start after his AA promotion. He is now up to .268. .687.
Lookouts now have 29 year old Dylan Baker who is back in baseball for the first time since 2018. (He may have been in independent ball).

Daytona lost at home to Bradenton 6-5. Bonin was starting after his dominating performance last time out and this time he gave up 2 runs in 4 innings. He gave up a walk, a ground rule double, and a single up the middle to score 2 in the first. He then retired the side and in the next 3 innings he didn't walk anyone and only gave up one hit. Ended with 2.00 ERA.
Ivan Johnson had 2 hits as did Michel Triani. Hendrick who is not on the IL has not played since July 4.

Arizona Reds outslugged the D'Backs 13-7. Arij Fransen was a Dutch Treat on the mound in his 2nd professional appearance going 4 shutout innings with 3 hits, 3 K's and no walks. ERA now 1.50
Lots of offensive stars. Franco with 2 hits (.354 1.136). Yassel Pino 3 hits including a HR. ( 3/3 .400 1.425), Elly De La Cruz 3 hits (.383 1.230).
Dispelling a notion that he didn't actually exist, Jackson Miller played in his 2nd pro game, and collected the first 2 hits of his career. 2/2 and a walk. Now hitting .500.
Luis Lopez 2 hits also.
AZL Reds had 6 guys with OPS over 1.000 in game. And 5 others, all below .700 OPS.
