Unlike yesterday when we did not have good news about our star arms, today's results
AAA - Mariot (not one of the star arms, but had been doing well recently did not do well today, giving up 7 in 5 innings. Feliz on a rehab assignment pitched a scoreless inning. Diehl gave up a solo shot in his inning.
Offensively only AlfRod got more than one hit. Barrero went 0/4 and his average is down to .288.
AA- Graham Ashcraft was stellar again. 7 innings, 0 runs 4 hits, 8 K's and no walks. Now has a 1.85 ERA in AA. Hard to believe he's only been there a month and 2 days. It's probably time for a AAA promotion.
Brian Rey who has been on fire got 2 more hits. Up to .289 in AA now. Mount and Cedrola one each. Hopkins got a day off.
High A - Pucheau had nice start. Urbaez had 2 more hits to go to .332
Low A - Daytona. Our second big arm. Bonin had great start with 5 shutout innings, 1 hit, 2 walks. Only at 65 pitches so they are easing him back in. He got activated July 7th. I'd give him maybe one more start and then move him to High A to make room for some of the draftees like Andrew Abbot.
Ivan Johnson had 2 hits including a homer. Hendrick 0/4. De Laz Cruz 1/5.
AC Reds - I assume it's stormy and windy out in Arizona, most games got called. Reds played but it was slugfest. Reds lost 12-7.
Nobody on pitching side worth talking about. Confidan and Pino both had 3 hits with homer. Franco, Alcantara, Salcedo and Minier had 2 hits.
